Discover the Beauty of Alaska Art
Tree ring print, cedar from Ketchikan, Alaska. When you buy one of these Alaska art tree ring prints, you’re getting an actual handmade woodcut print, not something printed from a machine. That’s because I consider each a work of art that is as unique as the tree I make them from. I also don’t believe in cutting down trees to make my art. I travel to meaningful places to find wood from previously fallen trees. In a way, I’m just publishing the story of a place as written by a tree over decades and sometimes hundreds of years. I sign each print because I stand by my work. If you’re not happy with the artwork I will give you a full refund, no questions asked.
****I’m more than happy to customize the color and the paper size for you. Just send me a message.
****If you have a piece of wood you’d like me to make art from just send me a message, I’m happy to do personalized pieces.
****I’m not currently shipping with frames because I’ve had too many frames get damaged during shipping. But don’t hesitate to ask me for suggestions. ________________________________________________________________________________ DETAILS

Alaska Art: A Unique Expression of Nature
Alaska Art captures the stunning landscapes and unique flora of this beautiful state. Artists use imagery from the majestic Denali and the rich textures of Alaska cedar to create pieces that resonate with nature lovers. These artworks often showcase tree rings, revealing the history and life of each tree, making every piece not just beautiful, but meaningful. When you choose Alaska Art, you’re bringing the spirit of the wilderness into your home.
Denali’s Influence on Alaska Art
Denali, formerly known as Mount McKinley, is a symbol of Alaska's breathtaking scenery. Artists are inspired by Denali's grandeur, influencing their approach to creating artworks. The mountain's presence often appears in paintings and prints, where the rich colors of the landscape beautifully contrast with the deep greens of the cedar trees. By incorporating elements from Denali, these artists create stunning pieces that not only represent Alaska but evoke emotions linked to this vast wilderness.
Shabby Tree Designs: Embracing Nature's Imperfection
Shabby tree designs celebrate the beauty found in nature's imperfection. These pieces often highlight the unique textures and patterns of tree rings, which can tell a tree's life story through its growth. Alaska cedar, with its rich history and durability, is a popular choice for crafting such designs. These artworks serve as a reminder that beauty can be found in flaws, and they add a rustic charm to any space. Investing in these pieces means supporting sustainable art that honors nature.

Framing
Framing
I’m not currently shipping with frames because I’ve had too many frames get damaged during shipping. But don’t hesitate to ask me for suggestions.
The paper I use for my pieces is high quality and does not require glass over it when framing. Most standard sized frames will work just fine. If you take the artwork to a professional framer, I would suggest asking for dry mounting.
